French ace unlikely to run in Ireland next

The Alain de Royer-Dupre trained Vadamar is unlikely to head for the Irish Derby following his solid effort at Epsom on Saturday. The Dalakhani colt was behind Pour Moi in the Prix Greffulhe at Saint-Cloud a month ago and was once again left chasing his compatriot's shadow in the Epsom Classic. Georges Rimaud, racing manager for owner the Aga Khan, was far from disappointed with the performance, but is unsure where he will line up next. "We were happy with the run. It is not easy for a horse going to a track like Epsom, but he ran to form," said Rimaud. "He ran a good race and we will have to sit down with the owner and make a plan. "He is in the Irish Derby, but at this stage, I would say that is unlikely. It is up to the owner and we will see." Sarafina represents the same trainer and owner combination and impressed in the Prix Corrida at Saint-Cloud last month. A return to the same track could be on her agenda. "She is good and the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (June 26) is a possible for her. We will just decide if we run any of the colts against her or not," Rimaud added.
