Danedream made mincemeat of her rivals as Joshua Tree was well-beaten in the Longines Grosser Preis Von Baden. Peter Schiergen's filly had impressed on her previous start at Group One level and she put this race to bed in a matter of strides turning in. Jockey Andrasch Starke made a beeline for the stands-side rail in torrential conditions and his partner soon shot clear for a very ready success in the Baden-Baden feature. Last-year's victor Night Magic made a lot of the running and despite being left behind by the winner she plugged on well for a clear second. British raider Joshua Tree was settled in midfield for a long way but never looked like getting involved in the finish and was eventually a distant third, just ahead of Alain de Royer-Dupre's Maria Royal.
