Big-race jockey booking

Title-chasing jockey Kieren Fallon has picked up the ride on Brown Panther in Saturday's Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster. Tom Dascombe's charge has been ridden by Richard Kingscote on all seven of his previous starts but Fallon has been picked at the request of owner Michael Owen Fallon's agent Terry Norman said: "Kieren will be riding Brown Panther in the Leger. "Tom rang this morning and said that he and Michael (Owen, owner) wanted Kieren to ride. "He's delighted to be able to ride a horse that has a good chance on the form book." Dascombe admitted it had been tough to jock-off Kingscote in favour of Fallon, who has yet to win the Leger in five attempts. The trainer said: "It has been a very hard decision to make, but I spoke to Michael at length and it was decided on this occasion to go for a more experienced rider."
