Rider full of respect for Camelot

Jamie Spencer is looking forward to riding Bronterre in a "fascinating" QIPCO 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday. Stable jockey Richard Hughes has opted to partner Trumpet Major for Richard Hannon leaving the ride on last year's Dewhurst fourth up for grabs. Connections have moved to book Spencer who is hoping the freshness will have been taken out of his mount after a below-par reappearance in the Greenham at Newbury last month. "Ryan (Moore) said he was very gassy at Newbury and just did too much early on. If he comes back to his Dewhurst run he ought to have a chance but it will be an interesting race with Camelot in there," the jockey told At The Races. "He looks an amazing horse but looked a good mover at Doncaster and might not want extremes of going. It's a fascinating race."
