Trainer confident that his smart filly will bounce back

Golden Lilac will have her next start in the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp having disappointed in the Prix Jacques le Marois last time. The triple Group One winner could only finish seventh to Excelebration in the one-mile contest at Deauville earlier this month. Golden Lilac returned to action this year in fantastic form, beating Cirrus Des Aigles in the Prix d'Ispahan, and forcing trainer Andre Fabre to claim she was the best filly he had trained. Her performances have since been mixed, though, with Fabre hoping she can bounce back in the Prix du Moulin in September. He said: "I've been disappointed with her recently. "She'd had excuses - she pulled much too hard the last day in the Jacques le Marois and there was something wrong with her. "I'm sure she'll bounce back. She will run in the Prix du Moulin next."
