Gevry Chambertin and Big Fella Thanks were two notable winners at Wincanton

Gevrey Chambertin (5/6f), a full brother to Grands Crus, completed his hat-trick in the Bathwick Tyres Poole Handicap Hurdle at Wincanton.
Big Fella Thanks (6/1) gained his first success since March 2010 when running out a ready winner of the Bathwick Tyres Handicap Chase. Now with Tom George, the ten year old was always travelling well under Paddy Brennan but so too was the well-backed Consigliere who had lifted this prize last year. Big Fella Thanks had seen his rival off by the second last, however, and only needed to be kept up to his work to score by four and a half lengths from Pipe's runner with 18 lengths back to Tullamore Dew in third.
