Frankie Dettori and Roger Charlton teamed up to claim Group Three honours when Be My Gal won the Prix de Psyche at Deauville.
Winner of a Listed race at Goodwood in May, the three-year-old daughter of Galileo proved too strong for Anahita in the mile-and-a-quarter contest.
Dettori said: "I like Be My Gal. She is capable of winning a Group Two, maybe a Group One."
It was to prove an especially profitably trip across the Channel for Dettori, who later won the Listed Prix du Cercle aboard the Rae Guest-trained Mirza.
