Ger Lyons believes Cappella Sansevero will have to be at his best if he is to topple Ivawood in Friday's Vision.ae Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.

Cappella Sansevero has mixed it in top company all season, finishing a close third in the Phoenix Stakes before landing a Group Three success in the Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh on his most recent start.

The Showcasing colt is reported to be in top form ahead of his Group One date, but Lyons has plenty of respect for the Richard Hannon-trained Ivawood, who has won of all three of his career starts and is already a dual Group Two scorer.

``Cappella Sansevero has done great since his latest win and the Middle Park Stakes has always been his aim,'' Lyons said.

``He's as good a colt as I have ever trained and is in great order - I've been hoping that the race was this week or last week, he's been that well.

``It looks a very competitive heat. Ivawood is the best colt that I have seen all year and will take a lot of whacking.''
