Horse racing news: Aidan O'Brien confirms Ryan Moore as leading Ballydoyle jockey

Ryan Moore will ride as the number one jockey for Ballydoyle in the 2015 season, Aidan O'Brien confirmed to the Racing Post.
Speculation surrounding the respective roles of Moore and O'Brien's son, Joseph, was rife after the latter rode for his father over hurdles on the opening day of the Irish Flat season at the Curragh, and the master of Ballydoyle stated Moore will ride the yard's "main horses" this year.
He said: "Ryan will be riding our main horses this year and Joseph [O'Brien] will be riding other horses when the weights allow him to. Seamie Heffernan and Colm O'Donoghue will also be involved as in the past.
"I'd imagine that if he wants to, Joseph will continue to ride over hurdles."
Weight problems have been troubling 21-year-old Joseph for some time and although he returned to action on the level at Cork last weekend, he was in action over hurdles again on Sunday and Tuesday.
Moore will ride at Leopardstown on Sunday when his mounts will include Investec Derby favourite John F Kennedy in the Ballysax Stakes.
