Conditional jockey Joe Colliver is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken wrist in a fall at Cartmel on Wednesday.

Colliver was partnering the George Moore-trained Erica Starprincess in the Milner Boardman Partnership Mares' Maiden Hurdle when he came to grief four flights from the finish.

The rider's boss, trainer Micky Hammond, is hopeful Colliver will not be out for too long.

Hammond said: "I'm actually driving the horse box down to Sandown, so I haven't had chance to speak to him, but my assistant, Gemma Hogg, spoke to him last night and the hospital say he's broken his wrist.
