The Gallops Report for Saturday November 17 has news on Wishfull Thinking, Persian Snow and others.

WISHFULL THINKING completed his preparation for the Schloer Chase with a pleasing breeze at Philip Hobbs's Somerset base this morning. A disappointing favourite in last year's Paddy Power Gold Cup, the chestnut seems to have progressed from his eyecatching return to action behind For Non Stop at Aintree. Ridden from well off the pace on that occasion, it seems waiting tactics are now the favoured option for the talented gelding who has the mighty Sprinter Sacre in his path at Cheltenham. But Hobbs will equip his charge with a tongue tie and there is quiet confidence behind him for a return to the minimum trip. PERSIAN SNOW showed plenty of zip in his last piece of full work and should go well in the intermediate handicap hurdle. The six-year-old looks to have progressed from an equally pleasing return to the fray when he troubled the judge. SNAP TIE is a fascinating runner in the old Greatwood Hurdle, having shown his best form at Cheltenham and proved himself to be lethal fresh. He really grabbed the ground when working up the steep woodchip facility midweek and looked in good heart when breezing this morning. FINGAL BAY has come out of Friday's Cheltenham race extremely well, having lost little in failing to give weight to the well-regarded Dynaste.
