Paul Hanagan is eager to see how Muthmir fares when stepped up to Listed company in the Albert Bartlett Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.

The five-furlong event, better known as the Rous Stakes, represents another step up the ladder for William Haggas' charge, who ran out a two-length winner of the Portland at Doncaster, despite stumbling at the start.

Muthmir clocked a new track record that day and having been boosted to a rating of 108, the four-year-old now makes the transition in class.

Hanagan told At The Races: "Everyone has seen how well Muthmir won the Portland and he broke the track record.

"He's in great order so I'm really looking forward to getting on him."
