Joint-champion also doubtful for Sunday Group One in Rome.

Jamie Spencer has given up all his rides at Newbury on Saturday after picking up a minor injury. Spencer, who was booked for six rides on the eight race card, was forced to withdraw after hurting his back when riding out in the morning. His agent Andrew Sheret said: "He's not going to ride today as he has just slightly hurt his back when riding out. Spencer is also booked to ride Les Fazzani in the Premio Lydia Tesio Shadwell at Capannelle in Italy on Sunday. But Sheret could not confirm whether the joint-champion jockey would be able to make the trip to Rome to take part in the £167,000 Group One contest "He will have to see how he feels later on before deciding whether he'll be back tomorrow," he added. "We haven't got that far yet."
