Verdict

Nicky Henderson has won three of the last five renewals but Jenkins’ good form of earlier in the season seems to have deserted him. Lough Derg Spirit caught the eye in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham, however, and has had a very light campaign. SPIRITOFTHEGAMES ran well in the Betfair Hurdle in February and again in the County Hurdle at The Festival. He’ll relish a return to a longer trip as an earlier second in a Listed handicap at Kempton came over 2m5f and Dan Skelton’s charge looks the one to beat. Who Dares Wins was far from disgraced when fifth in the Pertemps Final and is probably better over this shorter distance so looks a threat to all. Jester Jet is from an in-form yard and has claims on his latest second to Woolstone One at Warwick while Landin has already had a good season. Storm Home has more scope than the majority of these but is stepped up in class. Grand Partner won a decent handicap last time but steps up half-a-mile and has done all of his winning so far at Leopardstown. Ivanovich Gorbatov has become disappointing but Zubayr has found some form lately and Three Musketeers is rated 9lb higher over fences.
