      Verdict

A really tricky puzzle to solve as a number of these come into the race at the top of their game. Saute lacks a recent run but it's just over three weeks since Dream Esteem beat Gibb River in a decent handicap at Newbury and both have leading claims here. Paintball won a Listed handicap at Sandown five weeks ago but, 11lb higher today, is now closely matched with third Sire De Grugy while Conquisto is taking on better opposition than when defying a big weight at Fakenham. KEALIGOLANE is also upped in class but Barry Murtagh's grey is very much on an upward curve and had the proverbial ton in hand when scoring by 14 lengths at Sedgefield 11 days ago. He clearly gets on well with Lucy Alexander and a hat-trick isn't out of the question. Ubi Ace won a couple of decent races for Tim Walford early in the campaign but may be in the handicapper's grip now while Ted Spread has disappointed since winning at Taunton in January, but the lightly-raced Constant Contact could be interesting and Ciceron has the past form to figure.
