In depth
Verdict
Double Bogey Blues sprung a surprise at Towcester last month but was put in his place at Market Rasen last week and is probably best left out of calculations in a race where the vote goes to The Kew Tour, who is preferred to Tyndarius. The last mentioned is running consistently well at the age of 13 and has to be respected but may again have to settle for a minor role as may Navarone, who represents the stable of Ian Williams that has been struggling to find winners of late. By comparison Len Lungo has been firing in the winners with some regularity of late so Ballystone is worthy of a mention, especially a she may have needed his latest outing following a two-month break. The hat trick-seeking Tambo has more to do off his new mark, while Lanmire Tower has failed to complete in his last three starts and is becoming unreliable. The vote then goes to The Kew Tour, who showed progressive form as a novice last term and looks feasibly well treated for his debut in a handicap.
