Verdict

The finale on the card is a bumper where we have little form to go on but the performance of MASTER BEAU on debut is enough to secure our confidence this time but any favourable market move for the Paul Nicholls newcomer Bold Addition would be interesting; Lady Bluesky would also have a claim. The pick shaped very well on his first visit to a racecourse when only missing out by a length in a similar race at Ayr last month. He finished well ahead of the re-opposing Sir Frank and his pedigree promises improvement. Bold Addition is related to a few smart winners and any newcomer from the Paul Nicholls yard needs to be watched especially if the price shortens significantly. Lady Bluesky ran with credit in a listed mares bumper over course and distance on her last run and although she'll find life tougher back against the boys a repeat performance would be enough to go close. Beauchamp also hinted at promise on his first run and should be able to build nicely on that but Master Beau looks the one to be with this time.
