In depth
Verdict
Rebel Rhythm looked a horse worth keeping on the right side of when winning over Haydock's brush style hurdles earlier this month but faces no easy task against Mount Clerigo here and Victor Dartnell's gelding gets the vote with Turpin Green rated the best of the remainder. The selection has yet to jump a hurdle in public but his bumper form was top class and if translating any of that ability over timber he will be tough to beat. Turnip Green sprung a surprise when beating five rivals in novices' hurdle at Uttoxeter last month and has to be respected. He makes more appeal than Richard Fahey's Zealand who has finished third in two bumpers so far and now makes his hurdling debut. Lucinda Russell's Master Sebastian is probably the best of the remainder but Mount Clerigo looks an interesting recruit to the hurdling ranks and gets the vote to make a winning debut.
