In depth

Verdict

Beakstown wasn’t winning out of turn at Ayr in April but was only third subsequently at Sandown and will carry more than his allotted weight in this, as will Soldier Of Destiny and Riders Onthe Storm. Millers Bank almost certainly didn’t stay 3m at Punchestown having won a Grade 1 earlier around here. He steps out of novice company for the first time but can’t be ignored as he goes well fresh. Do Your Job won a Grade 2 at Ayr in April while Captain Tom Cat had a nice pipe-opener over hurdles last month but HITMAN can defy top weight to get his head back in front. Still only six, the French import has placed in two Grade 1 races around here, though was beaten off an 8lb lower mark on his only previous run in a handicap. Ga Law still has scope but will probably need this.
