In depth

Verdict

Lie Forrit bids to win this for a second year running but is a massive 20lb higher in the weights. DANIMIX won one of these by 10 lengths at Chepstow two weeks ago when Benbens weakened on the turn for home. Peter Bowen's charge is enjoying himself at present and may be good enough to defy a 10lb rise. Any Currency is an interesting runner as he's much better treated than in cross-country races. He could go well if fully wound up but July's Perth winner Maggio will need to improve again to score here and Ely Brown had his problems last season. Mwaleshi may need this and Russian Regent may find the company too hot, though a Gordon Elliott runner did win this in 2013.
