Verdict
Lidar needs things to go his way and is high enough in the weights on his return while Kid Cassidy may also have a few pounds too much, though was set some very stiff tasks in the spring. MERRION SQUARE made an inauspicious start over fences at Folkestone in January but left that form behind when getting off the mark at Newton Abbot in July and followed up in better company at the same track last month. This is tougher still but he may be up to the task. Takeroc and Falcon Island may need this but Silver Roque won at Bangor on his comeback and is preferred to veteran Keelaghan and Fontwell third Gus Macrae
