        In depth

        Verdict

        The first of several maximum fields on today’s card but the standard in this one is not particularly high with several returning from extended spells on the sidelines. Sacha Green ran well in one of these at Pau two runs ago but was pulled up at the same course last time in a race in which Asdesmar finished second. Curly D'Authie has placed twice under Tanguy Andrieux recently in arguably better company and holds Deexos D'Arree on the form book but we’ll take a chance on GRANDGARDE, who ran well in a handicap at Cagnes recently and is back in the right grade.
