Verdict

Morando won this last year but beat nothing of the calibre of LOGICIAN. Last season’s St Leger hero returned to action with a facile victory at Doncaster last month and will take all the beating in this before returning here later the month with engagements at the Champions Day fixture. Desert Encounter finished in front of Alounak when going close in a Group 3 at Goodwood in July but Highland Chief struggled in Group 1 company in France last time having finished runner-up in the Great Voltigeur at York before that. Euchen Glen is preferred to Away He Goes and Litigator debuts for Roger Varian having won a handicap in France.
