Verdict

Don't Stare could hardly have won more easily at Doncaster but is taking a big step up in class and will probably start at a big price as he has a mountain to climb in the ratings. Pether's Moon has been running up to Group 2 class throughout the campaign and scored at that level in Turkey last time. He had just over a length to spare when beating ENCKE at Goodwood, though the 2012 St Leger winner was having his first start since Doncaster and will be fitter. The Godolphin entire ran well in the Irish St Leger last month and can get back to winning ways. Parish Hall is well up to this class though is meeting rivals who operate at a higher grade including Energia Fribby. Marco Botti's charge, a Group 1 winner in Brazil, defied a long absence and ground described as tacky to make a successful debut for the yard in a Chester Listed contest and will certainly improve for the outing.
