Verdict

Four of the last 10 winners of this have defied a penalty so Kateson, who had Saturdaynightfever behind at Chepstow, is no forlorn hope. Airtight and Jersey Bean are the other two with experience with the latter preferred of that pair but there are one or two nicely-bred newcomers lining up, including Seaston Spirit and NOCTURNAL MYTH. The latter is the first foal of a useful hurdler/chaser and by top NH sire Midnight Legend so gets the nod.
