In depth

Verdict

Clive Cox has sent a strong team and ROYAL SCIMITAR (NAP) is another with leading claims. Beaten less than a length when fourth in a tough handicap at Newmarket last time, he can reverse running on more favourable terms with third-placed Popmaster given the latter has been raised 5lb for winning at Doncaster last week. Cairn Gorm finished behind the above pair at Newmarket but the progressive Dream Composer can figure back over today’s distance after running well over the minimum trip here. Shark Two One slips further down the weights and the reserve Crazy Luck has a shout if making the line-up.
