In depth

Verdict

Everymanforhimself has shown enough to merit selection in this company, while Eddie Jock, Sakhee's Secret and the unexposed Broghill are others that must be given respect in this company. Broghill won his only start in fine style and looks sure to win more races. John Gosden has been back amongst the winners lately and he looks to have another useful type on his hands with this son of Selkirk. A market move will be very interesting today. Sakhee's Secret was also very convincing last time and it would be easy to get carried away with his six-length maiden win at Windsor. Hughie Morrison had several options for this fellow, so it may prove significant that he comes here for this relatively modest prize in comparison to some of the other end of season offerings. Eddie Jock is consistent and is sure to be given every assistance from Jamie Spencer in the saddle. However, Everymanforhimself has comparable form and appears to be getting better as he gains in experience. James Given's charge has risen to every challenge lately and is fancied to be too wily when for the rest when it really matters.
