Verdict

A tricky puzzle to unravel with a few of those making their reappearances probably capable of better this year. Emilio Largo is one while Tropics is lightly raced, though has his first run on Turf today. Nassau Storm's defeat of Nocturn over this course and distance last July has worked out well and he should also be thereabouts but Intransigent is still awaiting a first victory away from the Polytrack and Colonel Mak has been unable to cash in on a lenient mark so far. Democretes has a chance on his second over 7f at Goodwood but CREW CUT appears to be in decent form and would have gone close at Leicester last time had he got going a bit earlier. The grey is still fairly handicapped and Jamie Spencer will be delivering him late here.
