Verdict

Whistler has been in the form of his life of late but Milton Bradley's seven-year-old has been hit with a 7lb rise for his latest success and may have too much to do now so preference is for Dancing Mystery, who gets the nod over Texas Gold. The last mentioned seemed not to stay six furlongs in the Wokingham here last time and may do better back over the minimum but Dancing Mystery looks the one to be on. The 10-year-old showed he was no back number when coming with a well times run to win at Salisbury two starts ago. That was on a fast surface but the son of Beveled handles plenty of cut in the ground and has a good record here. Off just a 2lb higher mark than at Salisbury, he looks worth a punt. The booking of Johnny Murtagh for top weight Fromsong takes the eye and he is another worthy of a mention along with the three-year-old Jimmy Ryan, who sprung a surprise at Newmarket last month but is 5lbs higher now. Rae Guest's Sir Desmond has claims on his best under conditions that would suit but Dancing Mystery holds solid claims and he gets the vote.
