Verdict

Several of these took part in the Spring Cup over a mile at Newbury with FASTNET TEMPEST coming out best in third. He only faltered in the closing stages on that occasion and a similar effort should see him confirm running with fourth-placed George William. Bossy Guest and Donncha were not far behind at Newbury and could also go well but Zhui Feng was well beaten while the selection’s stablemate, Squats, never figured in this contest last year though ran well here later in the season. Remarkable was second in the Balmoral Handicap at the track in October when ahead of stable-companion Gm Hopkins while Outback Traveller never figured in last year’s renewal but won the Wokingham over 6f here in June. The Warrior and Heaven’s Guest also ran in this last season but both are 7lb lower today and the former was placed at Goodwood recently while Above The Rest remains 9lb higher than his win at Chester in September.
