Verdict
Lord Henry is marginally preferred in a trappy heat where all the main contenders have question marks over them. There's nothing to choose between the selection and Allumee on their running over course and distance in December whilst All Star and Tramantano have the ability to feature if on going days. The selection ran an extraordinary race last time, racing keenly at the head of affairs before losing his place and looking beaten only to rally strongly and go down by a neck. He's far from straightforward and, having fallen twice in recent starts, wouldn't be one for maximum faith but he's stacks of ability. Allumee was only a neck behind him last time and should be involved again now that she's found her form. Tramantano would have leading claims if back to the form that saw him beat Marodima in October. All Star finished in front of Howle Hill when third behind Master Minded on his penultimate start which gives him an excellent chance but he blotted his copybook at Doncaster. Mille Et Une has her first run over British fences but won twice over the larger obstacles in France, including a defeat of Wednesday's Leicester winner Cadoulitique but looks to be on a stiff enough mark. Best not to get carried away but Lord Henry gets the nod.
