Verdict

Stradivarius struggled in the testing ground behind the winner TRUESHAN in last year’s renewal though finished closer to the latter in the Prix du Cadran at Longchamp a fortnight ago. But Alan King's charge looks better than ever this year having earlier won the Group 1 Goodwood Cup and is taken to confirm superiority. Princess Zoe finished behind the above pair in France while compatriot Baron Samedi is fitted with additional headgear after placing in the Irish St Leger and is preferred to stablemate Master Of Reality. The Mediterranean finished third in the St Leger at Doncaster and steps up in trip while both Hamish and Berkshire Rocco will be sharper for recent comebacks. The former landed Group 3 at Kempton last month while the latter won a Listed race over 1m6f here last summer and cheekpieces are applied today.
