Another impossible-looking handicap but Blue Mist is only 3lb higher than when landing a valuable handicap over course and distance of July last year and has probably been aimed at this along with Lord Campari. Boardman is in terrific form, as is his stable, and warrants respect. The luckless Bielsa is well worth a try over this longer trip given his style of running and Persuasion has a touch of class and beat a subsequent winner on his reappearance at Haydock. Dance Fever might need this and is best over a mile but Tomfre is a specialist over this trip, though connections will have been praying for rain. Milltown Star is slipping down the weights but, like Riot, probably has a bit to prove at present. Danyah has run well in two starts over a mile this year and goes on the shortlist with Karibana arriving off the back of a win at Chelmsford but ALDAARY, impressive over track and trip in the spring, didn’t get the run of the race when losing his unbeaten record at Goodwood. The form of that contest has already been franked and Jim Crowley won this last year when riding for his retainer. On The Warpath and Magical Wish are also interesting at bigger odds.
