Verdict
HURRICANE LANE is well clear on official ratings and, though returning after a break, has won first-time-out in both seasons to date. The St Leger winner, already a triple Group 1 winner, ran a fine race in the Arc on his final start last year when not quite getting the run of the race and should have the legs of these rivals. Broome also ran at Longchamp when beaten almost 10 lengths but he's been in and around at this level throughout his career and seven victories, including the Group 1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, bear testimony to his quality. Mostahdaf's victories have been at Listed and Group 3 level and this will be his first start beyond 1m2f while Third Realm needs to step up from an easy success in Listed company at Sandown. Solid Stone has improved with age but takes on better rivals than at Chester.
