Verdict
New Mandate completed a hat-trick when landing the Group 2 Royal Lodge at Newmarket last year but never got going in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Keeneland. Creative Force won two handicaps at Newmarket before landing a 6f Listed contest at Newbury from Spycatcher and Tactical. The latter had looked better over this trip on his previous start in the Free Handicap where he just beat NAVAL CROWN, who made the running in the 2000 Guineas and was only beaten three lengths with Mutasaabeq, who lacked experience, a couple of lengths behind. Mehmento made most for an impressive victory in Listed company at Epsom but Khartoum will find this much tougher than the handicap he won at Naas. The filly Bellosa was very impressive in landing a Newmarket Listed contest from Fundamental though this is much tougher.
