Verdict

A real cracker of a finale where there will be a number of future winners for the notebook and we think that SUN CENTRAL will eclipse his rivals on this occasion. William Haggas' colt had to wait until his third start to score but he won a maiden at Chester that has traditionally thrown up some smart types and, as his dam has produced the useful stayers Wyeth and Old Hundred, there really should be no issues in relation to stamina. Gospel Choir confirmed the positive impression of his third in a Newmarket maiden by landing the odds at Salisbury on seasonal reappearance. Moidore looked to appreciate an easier surface at Newbury and could still be open to progression, whilst Burnham may have been beaten at Windsor on his latest outing though he ran much better than his finishing position suggests. He will receive plenty of weight from the likely market leaders so he should be noted in the event of any market confidence.
