Verdict

Our Armageddon was the best of these over hurdles and is very much the one to beat here. Runner-up to the ill-fated Brother Joe on his chasing debut, Richard Guest's six-year-old has since scored twice at Kelso and Ayr. Although those were pretty low key events his handler was quoted as saying" he could be an Arkle prospect" after landing the Kelso race. High praise indeed; in which case he should take care of these at the weights. The only concern would be if the ground continued on the fast side, but with rain forecast, he should have conditions to suit. Genuine Article has always looked the type to do better over fences than hurdles and his wide margin victory here at the beginning of the month makes him a worthy advisory. His stable remain in good form and he may be the one to give the selection most to do. Jahash struggled to land the odds on his chasing debut and is sure to appreciate this stiffer test. However, he does have something to find if he is to trouble the principals. Rainbows Aglitter had little trouble in disposing of Joe Cullen at Towcester on his chasing debut, but one shouldn't read too much into that because the latter is nowhere near the horse he was. Rainbows Aglitter has since been found out by the exposed Poly Amanshaa, form of which doesn't look good enough here and Our Armageddon is the one to be with.
