Raising Sand won this in 2019 while Cliffs Of Capri finished runner-up 12 months ago. After a second in the Group 3 Criterion Stakes, Motakhayyel won the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket but, with a 3lb penalty, is 14lb higher than when landing the Buckingham Palace at the Royal meeting here last year. MATTHEW FLINDERS is 10lb better off than he will be in future handicaps having been reassessed since his second in a Chester Listed race. That was his first try over 7f and stall 20 on this much stiffer track looks a plus. Dance Fever was behind several of these in last month’s Buckingham Palace, including runner-up Danyah, but needed the run and won well next time at Leicester. The going may be too quick for Acquitted but Star Of Orion is a rapidly-improving three-year-old with decent claims under a talented claimer.
