Verdict
An interesting race to conclude the day's action and one that can be taken by New Order, with Kodiac, Jath and Cello others for the short list. The selection did the job nicely when winning over this trip on her seasonal debut at Haydock in July, and followed up with cut underfoot at Goodwood last month. She hated the ground that day and so back on a sound surface this lightly raced filly looks to have the ability of defying a 7lb rise and Barry Hills has found a good opportunity for her to complete the hat-trick in spite of the large field. Kodiac steps up in trip and has been given plenty of time after an early injury scare. She rewarded John Dunlop's patience with a seven furlong success at Lingfield last time and she should handle the mile here, thought whether she has the ability of the selection is anyone's guess at present. Jath would prefer cut in the ground and ran a nice race to win in those conditions at Yarmouth last month. She was wrong earlier in the season and so her form then can be dismissed, and as she has already won over this trip there are no worries on that score, so if she handles this quicker surface she can go well, while Cello would also prefer cut, but is back on a winning mark now and is not dismissed with total confidence. But New Order is improving and could make this a blue Friday for the others.
