    Verdict

With Loweswater an absentee, the first race on the 'King George' card can go to Shot To Fame, his biggest danger possibly being Courageous Duke. Lightly raced, the selection and caught the eye when fifth at Newbury last Saturday. The step up to ten furlongs could bring further improvement and he is set to run well. Nadour Al Bahr won this race two years ago but is now racing off 12lb higher mark, although his useful rider clams five. He too can go well. Courageous Duke is in great heart and clearly has big claims following a very good John Smith's Cup fourth from a two-pound lower mark last time. Johannian is on a winning mark but recent efforts have been disappointing. Now with Luca Cumani, King's County was a useful juvenile with Aidan O'Brien but has not raced for 238 days. Overall, then, we'll stick with Shot To Fame.
