Verdict
Eve Johnson Houghton won this last year with the smart Chipotle, who’d won the Brocklesby on debut. WHISTLE AND FLUTE also arrives off the back of a debut win, at Bath, and looks a nice early-season type. Windsor winner Michaela's Boy looks less certain to handle a penalty but Fragrance is a danger, though the Johnstons’ 105,000gns yearling looked ready to roll at Newmarket and found one too good. None of the newcomers will find this easy but Bakeel makes some appeal with his yard’s juveniles well forward, though he may benefit from another furlong.
