Verdict

KING OF TONGA created a surprise when scoring over the course and distance and was expected to follow up in a lower-grade handicap at Wetherby on Sunday but didn't appear to enjoy front-running and weakened quickly inside the final furlong. Dapper Man was beaten just over three lengths in that former event but is entitled to get much closer though is very closely matched with Red Walls on their run at Wolverhampton in November. High Security is very consistent but doesn't win often, a remark that also applies to Lost My Sock. Birkenhead was a long way behind the selection here last time.
