Snow Ridge, Almuraad and Moscow Ballet are all unbeaten having made winning debuts but Rule of Law sets the standard and is preferred. The selection put a disappointing debut effort behind him when running out the easy winner of a York maiden in July and stepped up on that when returning to the same venue to land the Acomb Stakes at the Ebor meeting. David Loder's two-year-olds remain in good form and he looks a more reliable proposition than his main rivals. Snow Ridge made an impressive winning debut in a Kempton maiden and should improve but stamina may prove to be her forte and a bigger threat may prove to be Sir Michael Stoute's Almuraad. The stable often introduce some of their best horses at Leicester and there was plenty to like about the way that the son of Machiavellian scored there earlier in the month. With the Aidan O'Brien stable coming back into form, Tipperary winner Moscow Ballet has to be respected and is fancied more than stablemate Rock of Cashel, who has yet to open his account. On this day seven years ago Frankie Dettori partnered all seven winners on the card so his mount Privy Seal is bound to have his supporters. However, John Gosden's colt is more exposed than most and we prefer to stick with Rule Of Law.
