Verdict
LOUGHDERG ROCCO landed the odds in a maiden at Musselburgh with the minimum of fuss and the return to this longer trip will suit. First-time headgear may also bring further progress on his handicap debut and he’s preferred to Stringtoyourbow. The latter went close at Newbury on his handicap bow while Your Own Story won a novices contest at Carlisle and Colonel Manderson represents last year’s winning yard. Skatman will find this easier than recent tasks and makes more appeal than Smokey The Bandit.
