Verdict
A hard one to go out on with the day's biggest field lining up, can go to Westmorland who gets a narrow vote over Sea Laughter, Roadworthy and Inn From The Cold to name but a few. The market should definitely be noted here as there may well be one or two springers lurking, but on the strength of a good effort at Hexham last time, the pin comes down on Westmorland. That latest second in amateur company came after a six-month break, so hopefully he will improve enough to go one better. Also bidding to step up is Sea Laughter who defied an even longer absence when second here in November. She does not seem to stand much racing though and is not guaranteed to progress. Roadworthy finally opened her account at the 43rd time of asking over two miles here recently, but is not as effective over today's trip, while Inn From The Cold will stay but is not open to much improvement either at the age of 11. It is not a very inspiring affair to go out on, with only the most tentative of votes going to Westmorland.
