Verdict

Mike Smith saddles three in this and Jim Goldie two. Only Kalahari Prince has had a recent run on the level and he is closely matched with Berry Edge on Redcar running in the autumn, though My Macho Man has been in action over hurdles. LOCHNAVER might just be the pick of the weights on his victory at Hamilton last September but most have some sort of chance. Flying Moon is something of a course specialist so warrants respect, as does his stablemate Golden Valour, but the selection’s stablemate Graces Quest may still be a couple of pounds too high.
