In depth

Verdict

Makari has been a bit unfortunate having been touched off on his debut at Haydock then beaten by a promising type in Rendle Beach at Musselburgh. He should get involved here but may find BIG WATER too strong. Alan Swinbank's charge is a half-brother to a 6f winner but out of a winning hurdler and showed a good combination of pace and stamina to make a winning start at Catterick last month. Julia Too made a winning racecourse debut at Carlisle a year ago so a long absence since her disappointing effort there a month later shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'm A Gangster is bred for jumping but his stable have plenty of success in this sphere while the four-year-old Grand Shift has plenty of winners in his pedigree and is one to note.
