Verdict
Seafield Towers caused something of a surprise when scoring here over five furlongs last time and Linda Perratt's gelding may struggle to follow up off his new mark over a furlong extra so the vote goes to Law Maker, who is preferred to Obe One. The last mentioned holds solid claims on the form shown behind Mr Wolf over course and distance two starts ago but was disappointing last time. Indian Spark is closely matched with Howard Johnson's gelding on running behind Mr Wolf and has run to a similar level since then, while New Options showed improved form at Windsor last time but has yet to prove he is as effective over six furlongs. Vigorous needs to improve on recent form to trouble the judge and of more interest may be Richard Fahey's Marshallspark, who has dropped to a decent mark. The vote then goes to Law Maker, who disappointed in Mr Wolf's race here last time but had earlier been in fine form in similar contests and it may be worth forgiving him that one bad run.
