Verdict

Handicap debutant MONEY TRIX looks like the winner here with See You There and Wild Cane Ridge the strong challengers. The selection looked a little ring rusty last time after about a year off and fell when in contention. Before that he'd done very little wrong in races over and around this trip from which the form looks solid and with heavy ground aptitude already proved he looks nicely set to score. See You There rates as the main danger and is in receipt of over a stone from the selection. His class in this grade is yet to be truly proven but he did run with credit to place in a similar event last time. The form is fair enough from that contest and stamina is no issue. Wild Cane Ridge has run well in similar company in the past but it isn't certain he'll stay the distance. However his record at this track is impressive with four wins from five and you'd have to give him a squeak of a chance. Silver Sedge and Maletton have the bits and pieces of form to not rule them out completely but Money Trix may rove too classy for this field.
