Verdict

Magellan was a triple winner on the level for Roger Charlton last season with all successes achieved on an artificial surface. Yet to replicate such form on turf, his latest effort did suggest he's coming to terms with his new discipline and he should be involved. Onthefrontfoot was clearly aiming too highly the last day in a Grade 2 Aintree bumper and this point-to-point winner should be more at home in these calmer waters and is a leading contender. Metro Boulot Dodo was better last time but AURORA THUNDER has improved on a race-by-race basis and is taken to do so once more in receipt not only of the sex allowance but also the 5lb claim of the talented and improving Blair Campbell
